U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson during the meeting in Kiev with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Washington since the crisis in the Donbass country has allocated $ 600 million to overcome it. On Sunday, July 9, reports TASS.
According to Tillerson, the way the US show its attitude toward the current problem. However, he stressed the need of continuing reforms in Ukraine.
In particular, the U.S. official said the United States expect that Ukraine will carry out reforms in the sphere of fight against corruption. Tillerson stressed that particular importance is the selection of judges of the Supreme court and the establishment of Ukraine’s anti-corruption court.
The armed conflict in the South-East of Ukraine began in April 2014. Ukrainian authorities regularly accuse Russia of aggressive actions, including involvement in armed conflict in the Donbass. The Ukrainian courts do not recognize the fact of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine. In Moscow deny these charges, citing a lack of evidence.
