Twenty undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Moscow region, will receive Governor’s grants for a total amount of 1.85 million rubles, reported on the website of the regional government on Monday, July 10.
“Grants are awarded for one year to conduct research on priority directions of science development in the region. The largest number of applications from the candidates submitted in the following areas: new materials and technologies; environmental protection technologies for waste management; biotechnology”, — said the first Deputy Chairman of the government of the Moscow region Olga Zabralova.
She said that 10 students will receive grants in the amount of 50 thousand rubles, the same graduate students — for 135 thousand rubles. Governor’s grants programme is being implemented in the suburbs for fifteen years, noted on the website.
July 7, Olga Zabralova said that for 2017 in the universities of Moscow region has more than four thousand of budget places. According to her, the minimum stipend for the student of the Moscow University is 2620 roubles.
