Putin and Maduro discussed the normalization of the situation in Venezuela and joint projects TEK

MOSCOW, July 10. /TASS/. The presidents of Russia and Venezuela Vladimir Putin and Nicolas Maduro in a telephone conversation discussed the issues of cooperation, including projects in the fuel and energy complex (FEC). As the press service of the Kremlin, the conversation of the heads of state was held at the initiative of the Venezuelan side.

“The leaders exchanged views on a number of practical issues in Russian-Venezuelan cooperation, in particular, discussed the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects in the fuel and energy complex”, – stated in the message of press-service.

It is noted that Maduro informed the Russian President about the efforts of the Venezuelan government to normalize the political situation in the country.

From the beginning of April in Venezuela are the largest in recent years, protests organized by the opposition. The reason for them was the Supreme court decision expanding the authority of Maduro and limiting the functions of the Parliament controlled by the opposition. During this time, has already killed 90 people, injured about 1.5 thousand, several thousand were detained.
