Indian police arrested 60-year-old man who shot his wife for late lunch. About it reports BBC News.

“Mr Kumar was drinking every day. Saturday, July 8, he came home drunk and began to argue with his wife. She was upset, wanted to talk about his pernicious habit, but he demanded lunch. Angry at the delay, he shot wife,” — said the press policeman Rupesh Singh. The woman was taken to the hospital, but she died.

In India domestic violence is the most common crime, the victims of which are women. In 2015, for example, this kind of offence occurred every four minutes. According to the survey, which leads BBC News, 54 percent of men and 51 percent of women agree that a husband can beat his wife for the contempt of relatives, lack of attention to the children, and even for insufficient salting food.
