The new President of Mongolia will be Khaltmagiin Battulga, the candidate of the opposition Democratic party. On Saturday, July 8, according to RIA Novosti.

According to preliminary calculations, he scored 50.6 percent of the vote, the turnout was 60.9%. Battulga won in the second round — in the first one of the three candidates receives more than half of the votes, while the candidate of the democratic party enlisted the support of 38 percent of voters. Thus, he was ahead of the incumbent speaker of Parliament and the leader of the largest parliamentary Mongolian people’s party Miegombyn of Enkhbold.

Presidential election in Mongolia held for the seventh time. Incumbent President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj has fulfilled two terms and run for the third time could not.
