St. Petersburg said goodbye to Daniel by Granini
Moscow. July 8. INTERFAX.RU — the Funeral ceremony of farewell with the writer, honorary citizen of St. Petersburg Daniil by Granini was held in the Tauride Palace on Saturday, the correspondent of “Interfax”.
The ceremony began at noon, the honor guard brought the flags of Russia and St. Petersburg with mourning ribbons. In the Catherine hall of the Tauride Palace gathered relatives of the writer and his friends, the representatives of the Federal and city authorities, public organizations, residents of St. Petersburg.
After the official part of the ceremony, in which the condolences expressed by the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, General Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky and others, to honor the memory of the writer are residents of St. Petersburg.
In the Tauride Palace was attended by hundreds of residents of the Northern capital, they brought flowers in memory of the Granin.
After the funeral of the writer will be buried in the Komarovsky cemetery.
Daniil Granin died in St. Petersburg on 4 July at his 99th year of life.
