Tver shooter admitted his guilt at the confrontation
Sergey Egorov, shot and killed nine people in the village of Redkino, Tver region, on a confrontation with the surviving woman pleaded guilty. On Thursday, July 6, RIA Novosti reported, citing her lawyer Andrew Mironova.
“During the confrontation, Sergey Egorov pleaded guilty to the killings,” — said the woman’s lawyer to the Agency.
According to the investigation, June 3, Egorov drank alcohol in the company of gardeners. During a feast between the accused and other participants of a feast there was a conflict, after which offended Egorov went for his hunting rifle. When he returned, he shot nine people.
June 6, his lawyer Yekaterina Stepanova said that the Muscovite before the killing, he drank almost two liters of vodka. According to her, the alcohol likely was a fake and mixed with beer. “Others also drank not less, so there is hardly anyone understood what was happening”, she added.
Egorov himself, according to the lawyer, vaguely remembers what happened. Muscovite was arrested on 5 June.
The conflict took place allegedly due to the fact that all people during the feast did not believe the memories Egorova about the service in the airborne. His lawyer explained that he did not serve in the airborne troops, but he is serving in the army air defense in Germany (group of Soviet and later Russian forces were located there until the autumn of 1994).
