The Ministry of education announced a reform with the “return of schools in the state”
Olga Vasilyeva said that now 44 thousand schools the Ministry of education did not obey, so they must be passed from the municipal authorities regional.
Moscow. July 6. INTERFAX.RU — Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilieva has announced a major reform of school education in Russia — transfer of schools from the municipal authorities regional.
“When we adopted this reform (in 1990-e years — if), it was one historical period, and now a completely different historical period, which requires, of course — I allow myself such a term to say “public schools”. That is, the return of the schools in the state and the building of state management, because now schools out of state custody and care,” — said Vasilyev on Thursday at a meeting of the state Duma Committee for education and science.
According to the Minister, the current system-where schools are subject to municipal authorities, is inefficient and requires change — in particular, to strengthen vertical management of the Ministry of education headed. The Minister noted that the municipal obedience schools leaves little for the Ministry to directly leverage.
“It’s hard to imagine that 44 thousand schools in any way to the Ministry of education and science did not obey. Also they do not obey the region”, — said Vasilyev.
