Putin: Russia will actively participate in the G20 summit

MOSCOW, 5 July. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is counting on the successful work of the G20 in Hamburg on 7-8 July and assured that the Russian delegation will take active part in it.

“The Russian delegation will take active part in the summit in Hamburg, which I’m sure will bring results”, — wrote the head of the Russian state in an article published in the German newspaper Handelsblatt.

The Russian leader has assured that Moscow “together with partners in the “twenty” will be connected to the practical implementation of the agreements adopted following the meeting”. He wished the German colleagues success in the organization of the summit.

According to Putin, “it is obvious that “twenty” can make a significant contribution to strengthening the stability of the world economy and its harmonious development”. “Only by pooling our efforts, we can overcome the current imbalances and to ensure sustainable growth and to develop equitable trade rules and fair competition, to reduce poverty, solve pressing social problems”, — said the President of the Russian Federation.

According to the Russian leader, human interests should be the main priority of the G20.

“I note that the opportunities offered by the digital economy, transition to new industrial and technological at the same time increase the gap in development between rich and poor countries exacerbate the problem of inequality between different social strata, — wrote the President of the Russian Federation in the article. — Therefore, the focus of our efforts must be the person, his interests and concerns. Putin also drew attention to the fact that in recent years “twenty” pays serious attention to the issues of migration.
