“Yabloko” decided to use the song by Grebenshikov in the anti-war campaign

Party “the Apple” has addressed to the leader of group “Aquarium” Boris Grebenshchikov requesting permission to use one of his songs in his anti-war campaign. This is stated in the letter from the Chairman of the political movement the Emilia Kabanovoy published on the organization’s website on Monday, 3 July.

We are talking about the text of the musical composition “Train on fire”:

“I saw generals, They drink and eat our death Their children are going crazy From the fact that they have nothing more to want. And the land lies in rust, a Church mixed with ash. And if we want to come back to, Time to go home.”

The philosophy of the song, according to Kabanovoy, in tune with the philosophy of the campaign of the party. “In this song we hear a protest against war and violence, in it we see hope for the future of our country”, — is spoken in the address.

The press service of political unification have already contacted the representatives of the Grebenshchikov, said “Interfax”.

On June 19 it became known that the founder and Chairman of the Federal political Committee of “Yabloko” Grigory Yavlinsky began collecting signatures in the region for Russia’s withdrawal from military conflicts. He called for an end to allocate Federal funds “on the foreign policy ambitions and adventures, including the war in Syria.”

The campaign, launched in Ryazan, declared in the presidential campaign of Grigory Yavlinsky.
