The growth of tariffs for services in sphere of housing and communal services in the Moscow region has not exceeded the rate of inflation. This was announced by the Governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov at the meeting of the regional Cabinet, the Agency reports city news “Moscow” on Tuesday, July 4.
“From 1 July the rate of increase in wages of residents of homeowners we set plus four percent, which is less than the level of inflation”, — said the head of the region.
Beginning July 1, all over the country there will be a planned increase in the size of utility bills for the population, approved by the government. On average fares will rise four percent. Most notably housing and communal services will rise in price in Moscow and St. Petersburg (about seven percent).
Utility rates increase annually from 1 July 2012. The Cabinet noted that the price increase mostly due to rising prices of gas and electricity, as well as General inflationary pressures.
In 2016, inflation in Russia slowed to 5.4 percent — was the lowest in recent history.
