In the Scenarios explained the benefit of sending to Syria of observers from the CIS

Military observers from countries of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO) will be able to provide an objective analysis of the situation in Syria, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich. “With the participation of representatives of the CIS will be impossible to hide information, to arrange provocations”, — said the Senator. He expressed hope that the CSTO countries will be the first to respond to the Russian proposal to send a contingent to the middle East state for joint monitoring in the area of de-escalation.

Earlier Wednesday, the head of the Russian delegation at the talks on Syria in Astana Alexander Lavrentyev said that Moscow appealed to the CIS States to consider the question of sending military observers to peacekeeping mission in Syria.

That Russian observers could go to the Syrian security zone, it was reported on 4 may.

The Memorandum on the establishment of security zones in Syria was signed in Astana on may 4, the guarantor countries Russia, Turkey and Iran. The document provides for the possible establishment of four areas: in the province of Idlib, in areas of Latakia, Aleppo and Hama; in the North of HOMS province; in Eastern ghouta, on the South of Syria — the provinces of Deraa and Quneitra. In these areas it is forbidden the use of weapons.
