The media revealed details of the meeting between Putin and XI Jinping

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President XI Jinping at the meeting Monday night discussed issues related to the Korean Peninsula and Syria. On Tuesday, July 4, reports the Agency “Xinhua”.

“The two leaders exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Syria. They agreed together to seek to resolve the problem of the Peninsula through dialogue and negotiations”, — stated in the message.

The Chinese President said that the parties should strengthen cooperation and firmly support each other on issues of development, protection of sovereignty and national security.

Putin met in the Kremlin the leader of China on the evening of 3 July. The leaders shook hands, the main part of their meeting was closed to journalists. As the press-Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, the two leaders planned a casual dinner.

According to the results of XI Jinping’s visit to Moscow, which will last two days, a plan of action for the implementation of the Treaty on neighborhood, friendship and cooperation for 2017-2020.

The leaders of Russia and China last met in early June in Astana, which hosted the summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO). During the talks, the Russian President said that the visit of the Chinese President is the main event in relations between Moscow and Beijing this year.
