MOSCOW, 4 Jul — RIA Novosti. The first personal meeting between the presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump agreed and will take place on 7 July on the sidelines of the summit of “Big twenty” in Hamburg, has informed journalists the assistant to the Russian leader Yury Ushakov.
The Ushakov said that during the talks the two leaders will discuss issues of combating international terrorism and the situation in Syria and Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the year, Vladimir Putin and Donald trump three times already talked on the phone. In early may, the policy called for a personal meeting at the G20 summit, which will take place on 7-8 July.
Earlier, the associated Press reported disagreements in the White house about talks between the two leaders. Agency sources claimed that a number of trump’s advisors advised him to restrict a brief meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the summit, while the us President himself insisted on observing all accepted diplomatic formalities.
