Russia and China offered the DPRK moratorium on missile launch

Russia and China offered the DPRK to declare a moratorium on nuclear tests and missile launches, and South Korea and the United States to refrain from conducting large-scale military exercises. This is stated in the joint statement of foreign ministries of Russia and China, reports on Tuesday, the 4th of July, “Interfax”.

“In parallel, the opposing sides begin to negotiate and approve the General principles of the relationship. They include non-use of force, non-aggression, peaceful coexistence, the intention to make efforts for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in order to reach a comprehensive settlement of all issues, including nuclear,” the document reads.

In addition, the authors of the statement urged the international community to support the above initiative, opening the real path to resolving the problems of the Korean Peninsula.

At the same time on 4 July, North Korean authorities reported about the successful test of a new Intercontinental ballistic missile. According to Pyongyang, has not previously tested the rocket “And 14” flying 933 kilometers, reached an altitude of 2802 km and just hit the target after 39 minutes after launch.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called the launch of the DPRK ballistic missiles as a provocation and said he will ask President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President XI Jinping to take a “more constructive” stance on North Korea.

“North Korea just launched another missile. This guy (Kim Jong Ynu — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) have nothing better to do in life? Hard to believe that Japan and South Korea will tolerate it. Maybe China makes a move against North Korea and be done with this nonsense once and for all!” — wrote in this regard in his Twitter the President of the United States Donald trump.

US urges North Korea cease nuclear and missile launches. In particular, Washington warned about the readiness to launch a preemptive strike on North Korean military targets if Pyongyang decides for another nuclear test. In response, the DPRK said that in this case will cause a pre-emptive strike.
