Putin presented XI Jinping with the order of Saint Andrew the Apostle
MOSCOW, 4 Jul — RIA Novosti. President Vladimir Putin awarded the President of China, XI Jinping, the order of St. Andrew the Apostle, the press service of the Kremlin.
The Chinese leader received the award for outstanding merits in strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries, the report said.
XI Jinping is in Moscow on a two-day visit, the results of which are expected to be signed 40 bilateral documents. It is expected that Russian and Chinese companies will sign contracts worth more than ten billion dollars.
The order of St. Andrew the Apostle is the highest state award in Russia.
