Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Federal constitutional law “On amending the Federal constitutional law “On martial law”. The corresponding document was published on Saturday on the Kremlin website.
“Federal constitutional law “On martial law” is complemented by article 101, under which the territory of the Russian Federation or in its separate areas where martial law is imposed, subject to the measures applied during the period of martial law, is territorial defense,” – the document says.
It is noted that the changes are aimed at improving the efficiency of activities of officials of state authorities and local self-government in the organization and implementation of measures for territorial defense.
Federal constitutional law approved by the State Duma on 23 June 2017 and by the Federation Council on 28 June 2017.
