Adviser to Abe: the Japanese delegation’s visit to the Kuril Islands would help to specify the project with Russia

The visit of the Japanese delegation of officials and businessmen will help to elaborate joint projects with the Russian side. This was stated on Saturday at a press conference Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan eiichi Hasegawa, head of the Japanese delegation during a visit to the southern part of the Kuril Islands.

“This trip will make a great contribution to the specification with joint Russian projects in the four Northern Islands,” he said. According to him, in the near future he will report on the results of the visit Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Visit of a group of Japanese officials and businessmen in the South Kurils began on June 27. On Saturday, they returned to Japan. During this time they have consistently called for three Kuril Islands – Kunashir, Iturup and Shikotan, where he familiarized himself with the condition of the infrastructure and explore opportunities to implement joint projects in these areas.
