Five candidates from the five regional branches of political parties will fight for the post of Governor of the Kaliningrad region in the upcoming elections on 10 September, reported the press service of the regional electoral Commission on Friday.
“Over the stage of nomination of candidates. From 9 to 29 June, the regional offices of political parties could hold the nomination of candidates for the Congress of the political party or conference. In the Amber region took advantage of this right five electoral associations, election Committee received the documents on the nomination of five candidates” — said in the message.
Among candidates – the acting Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov, who was put forward by regional branch of party “United Russia”, the chief Executive officer is not a member of the party. In addition to his Governor’s post will qualify the representative of the Russian ecological party “Green” Ekaterina Timofeeva, Igor Revin from the Communist party, Deputy of Kaliningrad regional Duma, the representative of LDPR Evgenie Mishin and member of the Communist party of social justice Vladimir Sultanov.
The electoral Commission noted that each of the candidates received a written confirmation of acceptance of the documents and the permission to open a special electoral account of a candidate for formation of election Fund. Of receipt of these documents, the candidates can start collecting signatures in support of his nomination.
Presentation to the regional election Commission documents for registration of candidates will take place from July 11 to July 21. The decision on candidate registration or refusal of registration accept the election Committee within 10 days from the date of receiving the documents. Each candidate for the office of Governor of the Kaliningrad region simultaneously with the documents necessary for his registration as a candidate submits to the electoral Commission three candidates, one of whom, if elected, the reporting of the candidate will have the powers of a member of the Federation Council.
