Social networks in Germany, fined €50 million for inappropriate content

The Bundestag passed a law stipulating fines for inappropriate content on social networks.

According to the BBC, administrators of social networks were obliged to remove posts with inappropriate content until October 2017. Otherwise, they face fines of up to €50 million.

In particular, the ban posts that incite hatred on ethnic grounds, reports “Federal news Agency”. The law will affect social networking, with more than 2 million users.
