The Union of health workers criticized the idea of introducing the age limit for head physicians of medical institutions and their deputies. About it RIA Novosti said the head of the Union Mikhail Kuzmenko.
Kuzmenko said that he intends to further the dialogue with the representatives of the state Duma Committee on labor. According to him, the introduction of such a requirement may increase corruption in medicine.
The Union leader said that because of this limitation, national health care will lose many competent leaders. According to him, are lacking today more than 40 thousand head doctors. Kuzmenko also said that because of the extent of territory in Russia’s remote regions will be difficult to find the right doctors to replace.
May 25, the state Duma Committee on labor, social policy and veterans Affairs recommended to adopt in the first reading the draft law establishing an age limit for doctors. In the case of its adoption to hold the office of head of state or municipal medical institution and his Deputy will not be older than 65 years.
