In the international arena became less of a cliché in relation to Russia, says Vice-speaker of the state Duma Pyotr Tolstoy. This opinion was expressed on the basis of participation of the Russian delegation in the parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), reported RIA Novosti on Monday, February 27.

“Much easier it was to talk less cliché in terms of what Russia is doing in the international arena. Receding into the past somewhat hysterical tone of our colleagues from Ukraine, the Baltic States and Poland,” he said at a press conference.

He noted that anti-Russian statements did not cause the applause in the hall as before.

The head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky considers that the Assembly is tired of anti-Russian rhetoric, but its complete elimination is too early. “But contacts like never before was constructive and with a human face”, — quotes the Deputy TASS.

On 24 February it was reported that the Russian and Ukrainian parliamentarians met on the sidelines of the OSCE PA and discussed settlement of the conflict in the Donbass.

In the Russian delegation to the OSCE PA consists of 10 members, including former chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko. It is headed by the United Russia Pyotr Tolstoy.
