Activist Ildar Dading, justified this week the Supreme court of Russia, on Sunday, February 26, was released. Dading became the first convicted under article 212.1 of the criminal code “Repeated violation of the established procedure of organizing or holding meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches or picketing”. She joined the penal code in July 2014. The maximum punishment on it — five years of imprisonment.
In December 2015 the activist was sentenced to three years General regime colony (was charged with four counts of participation in uncoordinated protests in Moscow). In March 2016, the term was reduced to six months. In December of the same year he complained to the constitutional court, which decided that the case should be reviewed. To the colony in the Altai region Dading came from Karelia, where, according to him, he was subjected to torture.
