The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in day of the defender of the Fatherland laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown soldier in the Alexander garden in Moscow.
The head of state came to a memorable event with a bouquet of red carnations. And soldiers of the presidential regiment mounted at the Eternal flame wreath with ribbon in colors of the Russian flag with the inscription “to the Unknown soldier from the President of the Russian Federation”.
In addition to the President of the Russian Federation, in the ceremony took part the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu, speakers of the state Duma and the Federation Council Vyacheslav Volodin, and Valentina Matvienko, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmitry Medvedev, war veterans and representatives of veterans ‘ organizations.
