The circumstances of the accident are being investigated. The most likely cause was ice that occurred on the roads due to a sharp drop in temperature after the thaw. A serious accident for the same reason happened on several highway: in the Kaluga and Warsaw, as well as on the Kiev highway near Naro-Fominsk.
A few hours earlier, a serious accident occurred in the Sverdlovsk region on the 179-kilometer highway Ekaterinburg — Serov. Eight people received injuries and was hospitalized, reports RIA Novosti.
