In Russia there will be a prize named after Dr. Lisa

The presidential Council on human rights (HRC), public organization “Fair use” and the Russian Red Cross will create an annual prize named Elizabeth Glinka (Dr. Lisa), reported on the website of the HRC on Tuesday.

“The President of the Council under RF President on development of civil society and human rights Mikhail Fedotov, President of the International public organization “Fair use” Ksenia Sokolova and Chairman of the Board of the Russian red cross Raisa] agreed to establish a public award named Elizabeth Glinka”, — stated in the message.

The prize will be awarded annually on 20 February, the birthday of Elizabeth Glinka. The working title of this public award — the Award is named after Dr. Lisa “For good deeds and decency.”

“No one can replace Dr. Lisa. But everyone can do something that she did. The only way we can continue the mission of Elizabeth Glinka. Those who will assume this burden in different regions of the country, will be able to qualify for the award of her name,” said Fedotov, whose words are quoted by the press service of the HRC.

Elizabeth Glinka — Russian philanthropist, an intensive care doctor, a specialist in palliative medicine, Executive Director of the Fund “Fair use”. It was the Council under RF President on development of civil society and human rights, since the beginning of armed conflict in the East of Ukraine provided assistance to the people living on the territory of the fighting and later helped victims of the civil war in Syria. Glinka died 25 December 2016 with the passengers of the Tu-154 Russian defense Ministry, which was heading from Moscow to the Syrian Lattakia. On Board were 92 people, including the performers of the Alexandrov ensemble, they all died.
