Space tourists will be able to fly around the moon on Soyuz spacecraft is already in 2021 or 2022, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the head of RSC Energia Vladimir Solntsev.
“We are talking about the flight around the moon. I think that by 2021-2022 years of RSC “Energia” will be ready to provide this service to the international market”, – said General Director of RSC Energia.
Solntsev added that after signing the contract, tourists will have to undergo at least five years to the flight itself. Now the Corporation is engaged in the creation of additional protection and modernization of the ship to ensure the safety of tourists.
It is also noted that the planned date of the landing on the moon first Russian cosmonaut can be changed to 2031 taking into account the readiness of the required launch vehicle.
