FADH began the development of the law on social and cultural adaptation of migrants

Federal Agency on Affairs of nationalities has begun to develop a Federal law on the social and cultural adaptation of migrants, said the head of FADH Igor Barinov.

As previously reported, at the last meeting of the Presidium of the Council under the RF President on interethnic relations, it was agreed to on 4 may to determine the Executive authority, which will subsequently be empowered to tackle the problem of sociocultural adaptation of migrants. Barinov said that if FADH is likely to be a question of drafting a law on social and cultural adaptation of migrants.

“Now we have begun to develop a Federal law on the social and cultural adaptation of migrants, it turns out that here the language factor is at the forefront,” said Barinov at a press conference dedicated to the International mother language day.

He explained that the adaptation processes of migrants due to a combination of economic, social, cultural, and educational factors, but according to experts, the most relevant in this regard is the language barrier that hinder the successful conclusion of the migrants in socio-cultural space of Russia.
