Sergey Lavrov has devoted poems to Vitaly Churkin
The foreign Minister also signed the condolence book opened at the foreign Ministry in memory of deceased Russian Ambassador to the UN.
MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. The Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in connection with the death of the permanent representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin said that the Ambassador “died in the line of duty when his 65th birthday was only a few hours Moscow time”.
Wrote about this on his page in the social network Facebook, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation also signed the condolence book opened at the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in memory of the deceased’s permanent representative to the UN.
“Vitaly will remain forever in our memories and in the history of our state, nation and international relations” — wrote the head of the Russian foreign Ministry.
Lavrov noted that Russia and the whole world diplomacy Churkin will be remembered as a distinguished diplomat.
“Churkin is an outstanding diplomat, who yesterday died suddenly at his work post at the permanent mission of Russia to the UN in new York, Lavrov said. — Remember it so, so will remember his people and world diplomacy”.
The Russian Minister and his Swedish counterpart Margot wallström laid flowers to the portrait of Churkin. His photograph was exhibited in the Russian foreign Ministry mansion in Moscow.
At the moment residents and guests of the Russian capital are carrying flowers and candles to the main building of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in memory of the late Russia’s permanent representative to the UN.
