Putin signed a decree instructed Zhvachkina to perform the duties of the head of the Tomsk region before the election

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of the Tomsk region. This decree of the acting head of the region Sergey Zhvachkin was dismissed at his own request and was appointed as acting Governor until elections in September this year.

“It is hereby resolved to accept the resignation of the Governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin on their own and to appoint Sergey Zhvachkin, the acting Governor of the Tomsk region before the entry into office of a person elected the Governor of the Tomsk region”, – stated in the document, which was published by the press service of the Kremlin.

Earlier on Tuesday at a meeting with the Governor, the President noted that the command of the head of region “shows the working capacity, willingness to work and ability”.
