A German court has convicted five Koreans for an unsuccessful rite of exorcism

Moscow. 21 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — German Court convicted five citizens of South Korea, who in 2015 in Frankfurt tried to “exorcise the demons” who have mastered their cousin, which led to the death of the woman.

According to the Associated Press, the court recognized that the main accused — 44-year-old cousin of the victim — deceased inflicted the most serious damage as a result of which she died. She was sentenced to six years in prison.

The other four defendants, including 16-year-old son of the victim, received suspended sentences.

The Prosecutor demanded a more severe punishment, but the court concluded that the relatives of the deceased actually believed that 41-year-old woman was possessed by a demon and it will save only the rite of exorcism.
