In Thailand Russian tourist arrested for feeding the fish bread
BANGKOK, 20 Feb — RIA Novosti. Russian tourist arrested by the marine police of the province of Phuket in Thailand over feeding the fish bread off the island of Racha near Phuket, said on Monday the online version of the Phuket Gazette.
53-year-old Olga Smirnova was detained by the patrol of the marine police while feeding the fish bread in the area of coral reefs where prohibited by law, the report said.
She temporarily released on bail in the amount of 3 thousand dollars, faces a fine in the amount of 3 thousand dollars and/or imprisonment for a period of one year, the newspaper said.
