According to police, the bomb exploded in a car parked in the South of the Iraqi capital on a busy street where they sell used cars. The number of victims can increase: many of the injured are in critical condition.
Responsibility for the attack itself until no one picked up. Law enforcement authorities suspect that the attack is the group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia).
On 8 January this year in the East of Baghdad was committed a double terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 20 people. The first attack occurred in the Shiite area of Jamila. A suicide bomber in a car detonated near a vegetable market, the victims were 13 local residents. The second attack came a few hours later. A suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowd in the market, killing seven people. Responsibility for the incident was taken by ISIS.
