MAKHACHKALA, February 16. /TASS/. The Russian electoral law for the next elections will be seriously modified, streamlined. This confidence was expressed by the Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.
“There are a number of issues (for adjusting the legislation), the electoral legislation of Russia for the next election, I’m sure, we very well will finish up” she said during a visiting meeting of the CEC in Makhachkala.
Pamfilova recalled that at her request, President Vladimir Putin instructed to create in his administration working group that will prepare amendments to the election law. In her words, must “legislation to streamline, make it understandable, available to members of precinct election commissions to voters.”
Pamfilova did not specify which elections – Federal or regional – will be ready amendments. Regional elections are held every year in September, this year they will be held September 10. The next Federal elections – presidential (March 2018).
