Mary Maksakova excluded from the “United Russia”

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. The meeting of the Presidium of the regional political Council of the Moscow branch of “United Russia” has excluded the former Deputy of the state Duma Maria Maksakova from the party. About it to journalists was declared by the Secretary of the Moscow branch of United Russia, Andrei Metelsky.

“Today a meeting of the Presidium, which was held on the question of membership Maria Maksakova in the party. Maksakova was unanimously expelled from the party,” he said.

Wednesday, February 15, in an interview with “Medusa” Maksakova said that along with the Russian has citizenship of Germany. In her words, “United Russia” were aware of this circumstance, and wished that she refused a second citizenship when she after the elections of 2011 passed in the state Duma.

Russian law prohibits elected to the state Duma the citizen of the Russian Federation possessing the nationality of a foreign state or residence permit in another state.
