For the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict does not necessarily the establishment of two States. As reported RIA Novosti, said on Wednesday, February 15, the President of the United States Donald trump during a press conference with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I see two States and one state, and I like what I like for both parties”, — said the head of the White house. He noted that for a long time pursued the idea of creating two States but agree with the decision, “which suited both parties”.

Speaking about the construction of Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories, trump has offered Netanyahu “a little refrain” from it. He also urged the Israeli side to show more flexibility in negotiations with the Palestinians, recognizing that “make it hard”.

In addition, the President noted that “very strongly” hoped to transfer the American Embassy from tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “I would like that to happen,” quotes his words TASS. He also accused the UN and other international organizations in that they allegedly “unfair act” with Israel.

Previously, on 15 February, the White house source said that the United States will abandon the principle of a two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He stressed that this issue requires an approach that is acceptable to both parties.

First, the U.S. has consistently advocated the establishment of two independent Jewish and Arab States, and called the resolution of the conflict according to this principle the cornerstone of its foreign policy in the middle East.

1 February, Netanyahu announced the construction of three thousand homes in the West Bank of the Jordan river. The administration of the trump expressed concern about this, noting that it hinders the peace process.

23 December 2016 the UN security Council demanded that Israel cease construction of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. The resolution was supported by all Council members, except for the abstention of the representative of the United States. Jerusalem refused to follow this decision, and soon Israeli Prime Minister has lifted a ban on the construction of houses in East Jerusalem.
