The Director of the Agency for strategic initiatives (ASI) Andrei Nikitin was appointed the acting head of the Novgorod region, follows from the decree published on the Kremlin website.
“To accept resignation of the Governor of the Novgorod region S. G. Mitin on their own. Assign Nikitin Andrey Sergeyevich, acting Governor of the Novgorod region until the entry into office of a person elected the Governor of the Novgorod region”, – stated in the text of the document.
Putin held a meeting with Nikitin and praised his work at the head of the Agency for strategic initiatives. “During this time the Agency has done a lot in order to give new impetus to the development of the entire economy, without exaggeration. You are pretty much done for specific projects on key directions of development”, – said the head of state.
