Kirill Serebrennikov will remove the film about Viktor Tsoi
The Director Kirill Serebrennikov (“Student”, “Adultery”, “playing the victim”) will shoot a film about the formation of the rock icon Viktor Tsoi. This “Daily Poster” said representatives of the film company Hype Film.
The producers of the film will be Ilya Stewart, Murad Haussmann (both “Student”, “Myths about Moscow”, “Cold front”) and Mikhail Finogenov (“Hostages”, “Cold front”).

The script for the film was written by Michael and Lily Idowu (“Optimists”). It covers the period of the late 70’s-early 80-ies, when the 18-year-old Viktor Tsoi were preparing to record their debut album.
According to the creators of the film, the story of the ribbon “will be built on the little-known facts of the biography of Choi, personality and music which for over thirty years do not lose their status of absolute legends the rock-n-roll”.
The project does not have an approved name. Currently casting actors. The shooting of the film will be held in St. Petersburg in August 2017 and the film will be released in the fall of 2018.
