The US government has purchased from Lockheed Martin 55 F-35 with discount of 7.5%. It is reported RIA Novosti citing a statement by the press Secretary of the White house Sean Spicer.
“Yesterday we achieved a great deal with Lockheed Martin for the purchase of a new batch of F-35 in the amount of 90 aircraft. 55 has already been purchased for the U.S. military,” said Spicer.
He added that the aircraft were given a discount in the amount of 7.5% of the previous prices. The total value of the aircraft amounted to 455 million dollars. At the request of Spicer, this is a big victory for American taxpayers, which made the President of the United States Donald trump.
