Russia proposed the UN Security Council to adopt a press statement in support of the results of the negotiations between the Syrian government and the opposition, which took place in Astana, as well as the upcoming discussions under the auspices of the world organization. This was stated today to journalists by the Chairperson of the security Council in January, the Swedish diplomat Olof Skoog.
