The Central Bank has dispatched to heads of IT departments of Russian banks the letter in which asked to 10 February to assess in terms of what they can implement encryption of payments sent to the regulator at the level of the automated banking system (ABS complex, consisting of many computers within a single protected circuit). Implementation of encryption systems at the ABS will help protect the data at an earlier stage.
