The state Duma Committee on Federal structure and local self-government recommended the lower chamber of Parliament to reject in the first reading a bill that prohibits civil service of the Russians owning real estate abroad. On Friday, January 27, reported on the website of the state Duma.
To amend the Federal law “On state civil service of the Russian Federation” offered the Deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov from the party “United Russia”.
According to the draft, the citizen cannot be accepted on civil service in the presence of “registered outside Russia of the right of ownership of the property.” While officials have property abroad, or received it as an inheritance, will be obliged to “take measures for its (property — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) alienation”.
In the explanatory note to the document notes that this will prevent the appearance of “mechanisms of influence and pressure” on civil servants.
Since may 2013, officials, parliamentarians and security forces can not take deposits, store cash and values in foreign banks. However, the limitation is not affected real estate.
