Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the adoption by the state Duma in the second reading of the bill on the decriminalization of family violence, the correspondent “reports Tapes.ru”.
According to Peskov, it is inappropriate “to identify family violence as some minor manifestations, something of an overblown”. However, he called to distinguish between “family relationships and relapse”, noting that in case of repetition of the beating of criminal liability.

Earlier on 25 January, the draft law on decriminalization of battery against family members was adopted by the state Duma in the second reading.
