In the state Duma commented on the statements of the candidate on a post of the head of the military Department of the USA James Mattis, the readiness to confront Russia. According to first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Dmitry Novikov, Mattis will support the policies of the last administration of Barack Obama, RIA Novosti reported.
“Initially it was clear that Mattis surrounded by trump will be the person who will promote policies against Russia, similar to the way it was under the previous administration. That is, it refers to the number of critics of Russian foreign policy. Trump is the Central figure, which will determine the foreign policy of the US in all key areas,” – said Novikov.
Earlier it became known that James Mattis, whose homeland was called “rabid dog” for an uncompromising attitude to Islamic extremists, said the need to confront Russia, in case if their interests diverge with the US position. And that America intends to expand their offensive capabilities in space.
