The Kremlin responded to Tillerson’s statement on Crimea

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow did not agree with the statements of the candidate for the post of Secretary of state Rex Tillerson regarding the Crimea, reported RIA Novosti.

“It is his position, we take note. Of course, the Russian side will continue to patiently explain this issue… we do not agree with such formulations, and will reasonably explain his position,” – said Peskov.

Previously applying for the post of head of American diplomacy businessman Rex Tillerson voiced its position on the Russian Crimea during a Senate hearing, where discussed his candidacy. According to him, the US does not recognize the Peninsula of the Russian Federation until signed a “broad agreement” that takes into account the interests of Ukraine.
