In Moore replied trying to make the Ilya Muromets Ukrainian

Ilya Menometrorrhagia: Wasserman explained the relationship of Ilya Muromets with Chernigov

General Director of the theater-Museum of Ilya Muromets Julia Alipova in an interview with radio station “Moscow speaking” called nonsense changes, made by Ukrainian officials in an article in “Wikipedia” about this hero.

Alipova noted that in the Murom Museum are sources of old Russian literature. “All that we can give in our theatre-Museum, quite close to our history,” she added.

The edits made by employees of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine in the article about Ilya Muromets relate to the birthplace of the epic hero. According to the generally accepted version, he was born in the village of Karacharovo Moore. However, Kiev officials believe that the homeland of the hero is the city of Moore (Morovis) near Chernigov, which in ancient times was called Murom.

The story goes that Muromets lived in the second half of the XII century. He died at the age of 40-55 years, presumably during the capture of Kiev by Prince Rurik Rostislavich in 1204. The cause of death was apparently a blow with a sharp weapon (spear or sword) in the chest.
