Ship transport-combat helicopter Ka-29

MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Holding “Helicopters of Russia” (part of state Corporation rostec) has transferred the defense Ministry party ship transport-combat helicopters Ka-29, which were repaired at Kumertau aviation plant. This was reported in the press service of the holding.
“Helicopters have passed all required tests and will soon be available to the air base of the Pacific fleet of the Russian Navy. On the Ka-29 was made on the overhaul of the columns of the main rotor, engines and gearboxes, as well as updated paint”, – stated in the message.
The ship’s helicopter the Ka-29 is intended for anti-submarine warfare exercises with deployment on ships of various classes, including aircraft carriers. It is capable to detect modern submarines and surface targets, transmit data about them to ship and shore points and attacking them with airborne weapons.
