Five people detained in Turkey for the murder of the Russian Ambassador in Ankara, Andrey Karlov, reports TASS with reference to the channel NTV.
Among the detainees – the mother, sister and father of the murderer of a Russian diplomat. All they will be transferred to Ankara for interrogation. It is also known that relatives of the gunman, the men seized electronic devices.
Previously the foreign Ministry of Turkey said that the perpetrators of the murder the man was a former employee of special forces. The assailant was eliminated by the police.
Andrew Charles was killed on 19 December during a speech at the exhibition “Russia through the eyes of the Turks” in Ankara. An armed man entered the hall under the guise of a security guard and shot a Russian diplomat. From the received wounds the Ambassador of the Russian Federation died.
