The international ski Federation (FIS) intends to take action in relation to the second part of the report of Richard McLaren of doping. About it reports “Interfax”.
“FIS considered the second part of the report of Richard McLaren, published last Friday, where a number of skiers that competed at the winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi, charged with anti-doping rule violation and manipulation of the samples. The mentioned cases will be carefully investigated FIS in conjunction with the International Olympic Committee, and then to carry out a number of measures in the framework of its powers, including to impose an interim disqualification”, – reads the statement of the Federation.
At the FIS noted that are in close contact with the world anti-doping Agency and the Commission of McLaren. The names of the athletes will not be disclosed until the investigation is completed.
Earlier, the international Olympic Committee supported the unprecedented decision of the Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton to take away from Russia the world Cup. The tournament was to be held in Sochi in late February. The press service of the IOC said that “the decision is fully consistent with the recommendations of the Olympic summit.”
So, the sports officials have created a dangerous precedent. Now under attack may be other big tournaments, which is also planned in Russia. A main goal of all these provocations could become the world football championship 2018.
