The court acquitted Chinese 21 years later after the execution
A court in China has acquitted the man, who was executed 21 years ago for rape and murder. About it reports “Xinhua”.
It clarifies the RIA Novosti, a man was arrested in October 1994 on charges of assaulting a resident of the city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei province.
A year later the court sentenced Not Shubina to death.
The acquittal was made on the basis of the testimony of the detainee in 2005, a serial killer who confessed to the crime eleven years ago.
He also sentenced to death, but his petition for clemency is pending still.
February 1 this year it became known that a court in China has brought to administrative responsibility 27 police and officials for judicial error 20 years ago, which led to the execution of a young man, also accused of murdering women.
Parents of the executed men has long sought a retrial, but the decision was taken only in 2014. The court offered them an apology and awarded compensation in the amount of 30 thousand yuan (about 5 thousand dollars).
